NYS Regulation - Credit Card Payments for Health Care Services Disclaimer

NYS regulation requires that we notify you that there is certain risk of paying for medical services with a credit card, including:

  1. Medical bills paid by credit card are no longer considered medical debt.
  2. By paying with a credit card, you are forgoing federal and state protections around medical debt.
  3. Protections that you must acknowledge forgoing include:
    1. Prohibitions against wage garnishment and property liens
    2. Prohibitions against reporting medical debt to credit bureaus
    3. Limitations on interest rates
  4. By paying with a credit card, you are affirmatively acknowledging that you are forgoing the above protections.

Notice to Patients regarding Results and Notes Release

​You may now review your electronic health information, including test results, reports and clinical notes sooner than ever before. The federal government recently enacted a law to help patients obtain quicker access to their own health information.  As always, the providers at NewYork-Presbyterian, ColumbiaDoctors and Weill Cornell Medicine will remain in close communication with you in order to deliver the highest quality of care.

Epic's Hello World SMS Platform Terms and Conditions

Beginning June 3, 2025, when you sign up for text messages from 20353, you are signing up to receive text messages related to your relationship with NYP/COLDOC/WCM, including updates related to your visits, Connect account, one-time passcode, billing notifications, prescription reminders, and care management.

You can opt-out of SMS messages by texting STOP to 20353. Your opt-out request will generate one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from the short code you opted out from. If you want to join again, sign up using Connect or text HELP to the short code for instructions.

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency may vary.
